Modern Bubbles

My sister in law has a set of champagne glasses from her grandmother that are flat on the bottom and everytime we have busted out the bubbly at her house (which i always try to encourage) we use them and i have always been completely obsessed with them. Hers are pretty old and dainty but that flat edge gives them such a crisp twist to the traditional glass. Then at my friend Brooke's house i discovered almost identical glasses in her new homes cupboards (again, champagne is my favorite thing on the planet so i discover these things quickly) and was impressed all over again. When we moved she gave us a housewarming/wedding gift of our very own collection of these glasses from crate and barrel - i was SO SO touched (there may have been a sentimental tear or two, not going to lie) and so happy to have them in my possession...will have to think of more ways to incorporate champagne toasts into my life just so i can play with them, they are absolutely beautiful. i don't think i have ever crushed that hard on a piece of glassware before...
