After fully giving up...I found the sandals that I had obsessed over since seeing them on the Trader Joe's girl. They are BCBG and while they are like "little cages for your feet", i think they are swell. They pass the all important don't-show-toes-but-still-feel-like-a-sandal-sandal test and are a great compliment to summer dresses. The tan color also makes your legs disappear into your feet stretching them out and making you appear leaner - who hates that. the only thing i hate (OF COURSE) is the price. They are on sale here and there online but they will need to dip well under the $100 mark for me to make a move...i am just glad i finally figured out where they came from!
