Coco Chanel

Amelie is one of the most beautiful and whimsical movies i have ever seen and it could NOT have been cast any better than Audrey Tatou...now she is in the latest movie about Coco Chanel's life which i can't wait to see, it is supposedly quite beautiful and an educational glimpse into how the iconic designer formed her style. While waiting for that, a new Chanel No 5 commercial has been released, directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet who also directed Amelie - the commercial has his touches all over it - mostly recognizable in the quality of light and the colors, he is know for doing grand research on color palettes (he loves blues and reds) and manages to make the world look like a fantastical romantized dream landscape - he is SO talented. my favorite part of the commercial is when she is lying in her room on the train and the light passes by her and you see the perfume bottle shadow, and the look of her standing and waiting for the boat is breathtaking - it almost doesn't look like real film. so good.
